A whole lotta yellow and some celebrations!

How amazingly, summery and perfect is this little bikini! I picked it up in Primark in preparation for a spa weekend - I mean I maybe didn't need it for one spa night away, but at £5 for the set I wan't exactly going to say no! The yellow lemons are ideal for summer, reminding me of long hot days in Italy and the stripes give a hint of Riviera chic. The bottoms are also a tad high-wasited so perfect if you've indulged in a couple of ice-creams.

More yellow, this time in the form of the most perfect little clutch bag. I got this as a Birthday present from my friends - they know me so well! You've probably spied my coral Arm Candy clutch on here once or twice, but a while ago I'd decided it was definitely time to add some more colour to my clutch collection, so these ladies got it spot on. I'm using clutches a lot more often that I used to and loving it, this beaut has already been on a jaunt to Edinburgh.

I was lucky enough to be invited to the Glasgow Clyde College end of year Fashion Show recently and decided I couldn't pass up the chance to share my favourites from the catwalk with you lovely lot. It was an exceptional evening, that showcased just how talented the Fashion Design students really are. There were pieces that I would gladly have borrowed from the models changing rooms and added to my own wardrobe and other pieces that made me dream of fabulous fairytales - a really great show.

Flowers, teapots and prosecco - did someone know I was coming? I headed up to Aberdeen this week to celebrate my sisters graduation - yaaaa! - and was delighted to find that in amongst the glorious old buildings there was a lawn set up with checked table clothes, adorned with vintage teapots and a posey of flowers. It was only improved more when we discovered the bar selling celebratory fizz. It was really beautiful and lovely that so much effort had gone in on the day - eyes peeled for a post!

And here is the genius herself! We clapped and whooped and posed for a trillion photos and captured the graduates themselves in all their glory! Well done you big clever cookie!

The next day I was dying to take my new waistcoat for a spin. I'd got it as a present from my lovely sisters for my Birthday and they couldn't have got it more right! Although I'm going to have to take a step back from yellow soon or I won't be able to open wardrobe without looking like Big Bird! There will be a wee #ootd post coming soon feat. the beautiful piece in all its fabulousness!

Glagow Clyde College Fashion Show

Recently I was lucky enough to be invited along to the Glasgow Clyde College annual end of year Fashion Show, by the HND Fashion Design Students.

I popped along to the Barra's Art and Design Studio on a sunny Saturday evening, treated myself to a wee gin and settled down to watch the show. It was the perfect setting with sun streaming through the glass roof and the cobbles providing the perfect catwalk. I took my seat in the front row and played at being Anna Wintour for a bit, except I couldn't help but smile!

First up to strut their stuff was a collection of white dresses - getting me all excited for a summer glow and holiday cocktails! They were all beautifully designed with some really unusual cuts and details. From low neck-lines and batwing sleeves to petal detailing, there was some really pretty dresses on display that you could also see yourself wearing to stand out from the crowd.

There were so many amazing designs on display, but I think these were the three that stuck in my memory, aren't the stunning!

I love a nude colour scheme and I really love (and need!) these three jackets! The simple and chic sheer dress on the left is gorgeously complimented by the detailing on the jacket. And on the right how glamorous do those trousers look?! I feel like there's hints of Celine and Chloe in these and they look like they belong in a high-end designer store. In the middle I loved the kinda space-age vibe and the silver trousers and oversized roll-neck would look amazing in a snowy Christmas setting, plus I do just love a big cosy polo-neck.

I loved this fantasy inspired collection!

A lot of the outfits I saw I'd snap right off the catwalk and strut away in. This one though was a little different, and although I might not wear it for a coffee in the Westend, I adore the fairytale and fantasy element it has to it. It made me think of a snowy Narnia setting, where the models had just climbed through a designer wardrobe into a new land. The furry details and the general designs were really different to anything we saw on the night and if I get to meet Mr Tumnus while wearing them, then I'm happy.

Below, was definitely a high-end inspired collection and was simply gorgeous.

'Take me to Paris, dahling' is the feeling that this collection whispers elegantly. The maxi full-length silky skirt is divine and the ruffle neck details add a sophisticated twist. And don't get me started on the sleeveless waterfall coat - love, love, love - please can I have it now? Plus, how perfect is that peachy colour. I want to be eating macaroons in peach silky trousers and pearls all the time. They are both just perfectly elegant and beautiful.

Elsewhere there was stunning co-ords, fringed detailing, beautiful roll-necks and some bright colours to shake it all up!

The talent on the night was extraordinary and I felt so privileged to be there, amongst proud family and friends, to admire all the hard work of the students. I really didn't know what to expect and was truly impressed by what I saw. A massive congratulations to all the designers - definitely bright futures ahead! And a huge thank you to everyone who was involved in the organisation and for popping me over an invite. A really spectacularly fashionable evening!

Birthday fun.....

Everybody gets a birthday week right? Well this was mine!

I was lucky enough to be treated to some gorgeous jewellery from Clo Clo London recently and was delighted when the parcel filled with pretty jewels arrived. I styled them for summer in my review, matching the turquoise with coral and yellow and styling up the girly gems with some stripes and jeans for a more casual look.

#tbt this one came up on my Timehop this week - dontcha love Timehop, it's great for reminiscing and the odd bit of hilarious flashback. This was a coffee and cake time with some friends from school and we probably nattered about all the same things we do now!

Back to some fabulous little Clo Clo London jewels. The Germaine necklace is so pretty, with turquoise petals and diamante detailing. I paired it with a gorgeous orange textured jacket and some killer summer wedges. I loved putting together ideas for all the pieces I was sent and you should definitely give their website a browse if you're looking to up date your jewellery box.

Soon parcels started arriving for my birthday weekend eeeee! This one had a little message written on the back so I knew exactly who it was from - and I couldn't wait to rip it open!

Soon my birthday weekend arrived and I was treated to lunch in West On The Corner. It such a great little place if you haven't been. It originally was a West pop-up, but now it's found a permanent home in the Westend, serving a delicious array of German dishes in a really lovely space. I went for double-denim with pops of coral, of course....

Later the evening, after one or two glasses of wine, I went along to Glasgow Clyde College end of year Fashion show put on by the HND Fashion Design Students. It was held in a stunning courtyard and model after model strutted their stuff in some amazing pieces. I loved so much of what was on show. You could really see the creativity and talent that had gone into them and I would've nabbed some of them straight of the catwalk. This was one of my favourite looks, it makes me think of Narnia and a snowy fantasy world.

Soon it was my birthday morning - yaaa! I woke up to breakfast and bucks-fizz in bed with cards and presents to unwrap. I was completely spoilt and had such a lovely day!

This was one of my presents that my lovely sisters got me - thank you! If I was to be an item of clothing this would be it, you really couldn't get anymore me. It's yellow for starters, my obsession and I love the sophisticated cut of the waistcoat. I want to dress up jeans and t-shirts and add something a little bit fabulous to summer dresses - can't wait!

Clo Clo London Gems

I was lucky enough to be treated to some absolute gems from Clo Clo London recently and I can't wait to style them up for summer!

If you haven't heard to Clo Clo London before it's an online fashion jewellery boutique that's stocked with the most divine selection of jewellery - all of which is style-conscious and of high quality, what more can you ask for! It's full of really pretty pieces and statement styles, all of which are guaranteed to make you stand-out and add a unique touch to any outfit.

My favourite was scrolling through the huge selection of glittering necklaces, they were stunning and I want to add all of them to my online shopping cart of dreams! There is also some really great standout earrings, from studs to danglies, that glitter away with amazing coloured gems. The bracelets are really unique and just invite stacking, with a host of gorgeous rings to compliment them.  All in all a fantastic little aladdins cave on the internet with so many treats.

I saw the Germaine necklace and immediately fell in love. I love the way the turquoise is complimented by the diamante details, adding a bit of bling to the occasion. It's a nice big statement necklace, but I also think it's quite delicate with the blue petals spreading out into fan shapes. It's really pretty and elegant and I can see myself wearing it a whole lot.

The first thing I thought of though was teaming the turquoise with coral - I know I'm obsessed! It is just the ideal summer partnership though!

The Embry sparkling stone drop earrings are a really simple design, but they definitely create an impression. I really like the kind of pink-hue to the gem. It's perfectly girly, but I think the strong, solid shape adds a unique twist to what could otherwise be a really soft, girly earring. I found myself wearing them quite a bit to make a simple, monochrome outfit stand out more, with a slick of Clinique Chubby stick in Whoppin' Watermelon you're sorted.

I think they're the perfect accompaniment to a really classic and simple outfit - boyfriend jeans, white t-shirt and stripes are all you need to let the earrings take the limelight.

Last, but certainly not least are the stunning Carolina earrings. I got the turquoise pair, but they also have them in rose and ivory, if you fancy something different. The floral shaped studs are really easy to wear with anything and add a subtle touch of glamour to the occasion ya know. Gorgeously girlie they sparkly away with diamante centres - they are just so pretty don't you think!

Definitely give Clo Clo London a visit if you're looking to add to your jewellery box, it's perfect for summer weddings or just any if you fancy some new jewels - lovely!
