Cider-Soaked Afternoons

Sometimes a Saturday afternoon calls for hours spent sipping away on ciders in good company.

And the perfect match to this is a plaid shirt and leather jacket...

When my older sister came up to visit I made her play blog photographer before we settled into our pints for the day and we captured the perfect outfit to while away hours of gossiping and giggling.

I love this floaty white and blue top. It reminds me of willow pattern in its intricate and feminine swirls of floral and leafy patterns. I also find the loose fit flattering in its own way as it drapes perfectly.

Pop an open plaid shirt on top and your set to go.

I love an unbuttoned check shirt as an alternative to a cardigan, it adds a little more "grunge" to the outfit and is perfect for dressing-down for afternoons in the local boozer. It's a classic wardrobe staple and can be mixed up in all sorts of different ways and I like the opposition of lumberjack with dainty patterns when it's flung on over this top.

A while ago I rediscovered this waistcoat and since have revelled in the layering-joy it brings!

Added on top of a simple leather jacket it makes your outfit look far more styled, with another texture and element making all the difference. It's a great biker style and the woven texture brings another dimension to an otherwise fairly simple, leather-and-plaid combo.

Black jeans and wooden-heeled boots pull the look together.

Is it Saturday yet? Can I go back to the pub?
