Polos and Pizzas

The only way to catch up with friends is over chilled white wine and massive pizzas! So off we trotted to Zizzis.

I am in love with the pattern on this skort (shorts that think they're a skirt). As a big fan of floral these are gorgeous as they're not overly girly with bright, bold colours. The gold zips add a bit of extra detail and are also deceptively slimming - perfect after a pizza feed - with diagonal lines. Zara's skorts became a staple with the cross over front and these cheeky Primark beauties emulate that perfectly. A black polo is a simple classic that let the bright colours of the pretty pattern do all the talking.

 




Black and gold accessories were exactly what this outfit needed. The gold chain is simple, but statement and looks great with the black polo, breaking up the solid colour. I adore these earrings and wear them all the time - they are so easy to match with anything. With a black gem in the middle and a few sparkles for good measure they are pretty much perfect studs. My all time favourite boots finished off the theme - black with gold studs and buckles.

Of course it's still chilly outside so I couldn't resist wrapping up in an oversized Zara scarf. It's so cosy and the tassles make it just a little bit special. A denim jacket is definitely more of a Summer style but with a massive cuddly scarf and polo it can be perfect for winter too.

We kicked the night of with a couple of cocktails and of course some fizz before we skipped off to Zizzis on Royal Exchange Square. This is a beautiful building for a restaurant with high ceilings and decorative cornices. The blazing open kitchen, complete with a roaring pizza oven make the setting.


I'm not one for chain restaurants, but I do really like Zizzis. The pizza are huge - HUGE and are amazing value for money, they only thing I would say is that the other mains don't quite match the same value for money. I was pleased with my calzone pizza though - filled with spinach, chicken, mushroom, creamy mozzarella and loads of other tasty things it was darn good.

Glasses of wine were sloshed and gossip swapped all in all a lovely evening - thanks ladies!
