Latte Classy...

I went to a gorgeous wedding recently, and I thought this was a great opportunity for my first ever blog post!

It was such a lovely weekend, and a nice break from city-living. Driving down on the Friday night (despite the hurricane-esque weather) was a great idea. Gin and tonic in hand, a weekend away definitely counts as a holiday.

The next morning after taking advantage of the breakfast buffet - you might as well! - a wee swim and sauna was was the order of the day, a relaxing bath and the beautifying began...

With a wedding in March, it's not exactly Spring, but Winter should be long gone, so wintery colours are out but are head-to-toe flowers and pastels a bit too much just yet? Latte and a pink palette seemed the best bet.

I bought this dress from H&M a few years ago for a long weekend in Verona, obviously it wasn't quite as warm March in Scotland so the white blazer - an absolute bargain just gave me that wee bit of cover I needed.

Time to accesorize! Pastel pinks seemed perfect for a wedding and an ideal match for latte - it reminds me of pretty macaroons and creamy coffee - a pale pink clutch  teamed nude heels pulled everything together. I'll never say no to a statement necklace and this beauty was ideal, with a little bit of sparkle in the mix.

I hardly ever wear my hair, but I do really like it when I manage to fashion some sort of up-do with my tresses - and every time I do I usually mutter some sort of vow that I will do it more often. So with this vow in mind and countless rearranging in the mirror a simple twist pony was created. It's really easy to do - just pull your hair into a low pony, make a space above the band and fold the ponytail through - it just adds a lovely detail to an easy hairstyle.

Of course Mr. W looked dashing in his kilt (it's so easy for boys!)

Blazer - Primark
Dress - H&M
Shoes - so old I can't remember!
Necklace - Primark
Clutch - Primark
(You'll soon realise I'm a Primark fiend!)
