Review: Primark Candles

I've recently got into burning a gorgeous candle in the evening to relax after a long day.

They give the room such a luxurious and pampering atmosphere, ideal for a little bit of de-stress time at the end of the day. The obsession really began when I was given two beautiful Arran Aromatics candles as a gift, I reviewed one HERE if you wanted to take a look. However, after burning them till there was no more left I decided to look for a little bit more of a purse-friendly alternative.

I came across these Primark candles a bit by accident. I was really just having a quick wander around when they caught my eye. I think it was the heavy, cubed jars that impressed me. They look a lot more expensive than they are with the thick, glass encompassing the wax, tinted to match the colour of the candle. The simplistic approach makes them look pretty and sophisticated.

A lot of the smells had coconut in them and as this isn't my favourite I went for the Amazon Lily instead. It's quite a nice fresh, clean smell and the aroma fills up the room when it's lit. The flame also creates a little well in the wax so as it burns the overall appearance of the candle won't be ruined. I also think the darker coloured wax is suited to this time of year. It's an almost purple, grey that looks lovely in the wintery months.

It states that it will burn for up to 30 hours so we'll see if it lives up to that claim, but I'm sure it will!

For only £2 it is an absolute bargain, it fools you into thinking its a more expensive make and the scents that fill the room up are just as gorgeous. I'll definitely be buying some more in the future. I'm thinking the red jar, christmasy candles for Christmas....
